Eastcoaster (Taz Jazzfest)
Set to Roll
Following the success of the inaugural Eastcoaster Taz Jazzfest,
we are
pleased to announce that we are planning to do it all
again.
It will be held on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th October 2009
and information regarding this event will be available
on the Hobart Jazz Club website
(www.hobartjazzclub.com) from the 1st April 2009.
Please be aware that we have a ceiling for total
musicians and also ceilings for the numbers in the
various categories of instruments. So application does
not necessarily mean acceptance. The decision of which
musicians to invite to participate will be the Hobart
Jazz
Club's prerogative. The style of festival will be 'mix
and
match' , so groups will not be invited.
We will endeavour to repeat the conditions of 2008,
where we offered free accommodation to MOST
musicians, but partners will not be discounted.
Conditions will apply. The Resort will NOT be taking
bookings. This will be done by the Hobart Jazz Club
for both musicians and delegates. Return your
'expression of interest' application to me. It will be
available from 1st April on the web site.

Kerry Bilston (ex VIC) and local Bruce Haley have teamed
up to present this new exciting concept in St Helens.
Located on Cecilia Street in the NEW MAHOGANY HALL:
The Cultural Centre will blend into what they hope will
become known as “The Village Square” by merging with
the State Library, Online Centre, The St Helens History
Room and Museum, plus an Information Centre.
Be sure to pay the Café a visit when next in St
Helens. |
